For Philip Walsh, the idea of a furniture store began with selling kitchen table sets in the basement of his house. Soon mattresses, sofas, bedroom furniture, and everyday items were added, and before long the basement was overflowing with furniture. Philip knew then he required a bigger space.
Walsh's Furniture opened in its present location in 1963. Started and built by Philip and his wife Virginia; for over 50 years Walsh's Furniture has provided quality brand name furniture to local communities in Kittery, and throughout the seacoast region.
From furnishing local area hospitals to church rectories, and countless homes, Walsh's Furniture has always worked to provide top of the line of customer service, with the goal of making the customer's home the very best.
